About Whitewater Rafting in

Bryson City, NC:

You will enjoy a three hour road trip into the Mountains of North Carolina. You will see the Nantahala River and spend the afternoon whitewater rafting with a guide or unguided. It is a fun adventure! You will get wet and have a lot of fun! No need to know how to swim, as you will most likely stay in the boat, but you will have a life-vest to keep you floating in the water in case you do fall out. 

This Tour only costs $50 and is a unique opportunity limited to the first 13 international students who turn in their registration form and pay (please do not delay registering or you may not be among the first 13 who do register). (If you must change your plans after you register, you must let IFM know by July 22nd, so that others who may be on a waiting list can take your place, but we hope you will not change your plans).

Extra Costs:

 - Lunch on Saturday and Sunday

Saturday, July 27

  • 8:00 AM - Pick-up at IFM Office (610 Pickens St.) and travel to Bryson City Whitewater Rafting

  • 10:30 PM - Arrive at Rafting Company: get tickets and equipment and training, and go to the river to raft

  • 5:30 PM - Dinner

  • 6:30 PM - Over-night with Host Family

Sunday, October 14

  • 9:00 AM - Breakfast at host home.

  • 10:30 AM - Bryson City Baptist Church for Sunday Service

  • 12:00 PM - Lunch 

  • 1:30 PM - Depart for IFM, Columbia
